Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee of a plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. Stone is the youngest from three sister. Stone was regarded as academically gifted when she started two grades when she was five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania is her school of choice for highschool. Her graduation was in 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone win Miss Crawford County. Stone was moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to take on a job as models. Within a month, she was signed with Ford Modeling Agency. She soon relocated to Europe for a time, and lived with her aunt in Milan as well as Paris. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe in the modeling business and decided to move to acting. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" a film that received mixed reviews.
