The artist was born on 26 November 1987 in Santa Monica California in the United States of America. She is the daughter of her dad Vincenzo and mother Valerie Barba. At the age of six the family relocated into Point Pleasant New Jersey. Her secondary schooling within New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She was a graduate of Catholic University in New Jersey with a Bachelor's Degree. As a violinist from the age of 4, Violingirl was her nickname. She was referred to by her nickname due to her appearances. She also worked as instrumental teacher to the youngsters in the area. In the six season of American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, at which time she was nineteen. She was subsequently eliminated being ranked 16th on the show.
